Hey, I’m Zhong Yan!

I’m currently a student at Singapore Management University (SMU) studying Information Systems. When I’m not in class, I’m usually learning new skills or working on personal projects. I'm passionate about data and developing data intensive solutions to enable better decision making.

The Journey So Far

I’ve had the chance to work in some pretty diverse environments. My experience include:

  • GovTech: My upcoming internship where I will learn system engineering.
  • Shopback: Where I learnt backend and frontend development skills (nest.js, kubernetes, AWS), observability (datadog), workflow automation (N8N), on call rotations (PagerDuty), and workplace communication.
  • NTUC Income: Where I learnt good data governance practices and python development skills.
  • KPMG: Where I learnt SDLC, BI, requirements gathering, and self-service analytics through data marts.
